"Pacific Rim," "Thor: The Dark World" and "Luther" star Idris Elba is the latest name rumored to be in talks to join the cast of Universal's "Jurassic World".
Josh Brolin is in negotiations and Bryce Dallas Howard is already set to star in this Colin Trevorrow-directed fourth entry in the "Jurassic Park" franchise.
A source for Jurassic World Movie mentioned Elba's name, whilst at the same time a casting notice seeking actors and crew in Louisiana (see here) includes Elba's name along with the already talked about cast members like Nick Robinson and Ty Simpkins in a cast list.
The casting notice includes a press release in which Elba's name is mentioned again. Yet one catch is the filming is to take place around the same time Elba is committed to Cary Fukunaga's "Beasts of No Nation". It's a wait and see regarding how this pans out.
For Elba fans, a fun video flashback today - one of the memorable scenes from 1998's UK supernatural procedural series "Ultraviolet". The clip features a 26-year-old Elba trapped in a warehouse with four vampires about to awaken from their electronic coffins, and only enough bullets to kill one.
