Ben Whishaw ("Skyfall," "The Hour") is the latest name rumored to be slipping into the shoes of iconic Queen frontman Freddie Mercury in the upcoming musician biopic "Mercury".
The Mirror reported the news, including a quote from surviving bandmate Roger Taylor who responded "Well, we hope so" when asked if the band members would like Whishaw for the part.
Sacha Baron Cohen was originally linked to the role, but pulled out citing creative differences. Daniel Radcliffe's name came up a few weeks ago, but that rumor was shot down in hours by the "Harry Potter" actor himself.
The film is set to focus on the lead up to Queen's famous performance at Live Aid in 1985.
