Just days after the announcement of the several month delay of "Watch Dogs," Sony and Evolution Studios have confirmed a similar delay of another next-gen gaming console launch title - "Driveclub". The PS4-exclusive game is now slated for an early 2014 release.
In a statement, SCE Worldwide Studios President Shuhei Yoshida says: "'DriveClub' will be a truly innovative, socially connected racing game, but the team requires more time in order to deliver on their vision — and I’m fully confident the game will surpass your expectations."
The game was slated to be a part of PlayStation Plus member's Instant Game Collection around the launch of PlayStation 4. It will still be a part of that collection, but not until the time of its release.
In its place, Sony is moving the game "Contrast" into its place. "Contrast" and "Resogun" will be the two PS4-ready games that PS+ members will be able to access from the Instant Game Collection at launch late next month.
This leaves only "Killzone: Shadow Fall" and "Knack" as Sony's sole console-exclusive games available at retail at launch time alongside multi-platform titles such as "Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag," "Battlefield 4," "Call of Duty: Ghosts," and "Lego Marvel Superheroes".
