It seemingly died in the pilot stage six years ago, now the zombie drama series "Babylon Fields" looks like it could be resurrected.
Originally developed for a debut in Fall 2007 on CBS, 'Babylon' deals with what happens when the dead rise from their graves in a small Long Island town.
Amber Tamblyn, Kathy Baker, Jamey Sheridan and Ray Stevenson starred in the original pilot which didn't portray the undead as savage monsters - they could walk, talk and think for themselves.
NBC has now ordered a new pilot based on the concept from the trio responsible for the original - writers Gerald Cuesta and Michael Atkinson, and director Michael Cuesta ("Homeland," "Dexter").
Jennifer Salke, NBC Entertainment's president, helped develop the show at 20th Century Fox TV the first time around. She's the main driving force behind its return.
