It looks like the hunt for Christian Grey is back on.
"Sons of Anarchy" and "Pacific" actor Charlie Hunnam has been reportedly forced to drop out of the "Fifty Shades of Grey" film adaptation due to his scheduling commitments.
An official statement from Universal Pictures said the following:
"The filmmakers of Fifty Shades of Grey and Charlie Hunnam have agreed to find another male lead given Hunnam’s immersive TV schedule which is not allowing him time to adequately prepare for the role of Christian Grey."
Hunnam was to star as Christian Grey opposite Dakota Johnson as Anastasia Steele in the film adaptation of E.L. James' best-seller.
Sam Taylor-Johnson is directing the film which was slated to begin shooting next month in Vancouver. Whether Hunnam's departure will lead to a delay is unknown at this point.
