NBC has begun development on two time travel drama series from producers who've experience with the genre - Josh Friedman ("The Sarah Connor Chronicles") and Deborah Pratt ("Quantum Leap")
Friedman's "Lighthouse" is an ensemble drama set at a mysterious hotel for wayward time travelers.
Pratt's "Timeless" centers on a woman who can travel between two times - the present day and the future. She soon finds herself caught between two men she loves and the worlds they each inhabit.
NBC delved into the genre not that long ago, producing the short-lived TV series "Journeyman" in 2007 which often pops up on lists of TV shows unfairly cancelled before their time.
