Young French Canadian filmmaker Xavier Dolan has confirmed that he's just begun filming of his fifth feature "Mommy".
The new feature harkens back to his first film, "I Killed My Mother," though this is said to be a darker story of mother-son relationship.
It deals with "a mother who has custody of a child with a difficult past". Anne Dorval, Suzanne Clément and Antoine-Olivier Pilon are set to star in the film which will likely hit the awards circuit mid-next year.
Dolan is coming off the success of "Laurence Anyways" which opened States-side earlier this year, and "Tom at the Farm" which premiered at Venice and Toronto ahead of an early 2014 release.
