Trade Breaks: South Park, Outkast, Gibb

"Comedy Central has inked a deal with "South Park" creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone that keeps the network's top-rated series on the air through 2008. Laffer net has committed to 42 episodes, or three more seasons, of "South Park" over the next three years. Parker and Stone will continue to write, direct and edit every episode of the show. "Universal Pictures has bought worldwide distribution rights to HBO Films' untitled original motion picture musical starring Andre Benjamin and Antwan Patton, who make up the Grammy-winning duo OutKast. The deal marks it the first time an HBO Films movie will be handled by a distributor other than Fine Line Features or the new Picturehouse, in which HBO is partnered with New Line Cinema.
