Viral Video: "Carrie" Telekinesis Prank

A staged hidden-camera prank related to Sony Pictures' upcoming "Carrie" remake has gone viral, clocking in 2.56 million hits in the past 24 hours.

Set in a coffee shop, the video uses actors, stuntmen, a fake wall, remote controlled furniture and spring-loaded books and artwork to portray a young woman flexing telekinetic powers - in the process catch unsuspecting patrons off guard.

It's an effective piece of promotion for the film, which opens next Friday (October 18th). At the same time, a Sony spokesperson has officially denounced that 'alternate endings' test screening rumor from yesterday saying "there was no such test screening done in St. Louis, let alone with four possible endings."
