Fighting alongside Chris Evans' Steve Rogers and Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow in the upcoming Marvel Studios sequel "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" is Anthony Mackie's The Falcon.
Recently talking about his character with MTV News, he dismisses talk that the character is a mere sidekick to the Captain:
"It's interesting because a lot of people equate it to Batman and Robin, but the reality of it is, it's more of a working relationship, a respect relationship as opposed to a leader and follower.
The three of us (Captain America, Falcon, and Black Widow) work really well together and we support each other. All of us are really different in our abilities and powers, so when we come together we make an awesome tandem."
Mackie also jokes that he was told he would be the second lead in the movie, in actuality he gets injured and sits out some of it:
"They sold me that I was the second lead in the movie, so there's a point where Cap gets hurt, and [I] do everything for Cap. And I get the script, and... that's not true. I get hurt, not Cap!."
