The full-length trailer for "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug" has arrived, showing off the more grandiose scale of this middle chapter in the trilogy. We finally get to hear Benedict Cumberbatch's Smaug voice, though his appearance remains very much in the shadows.
As for scenes, this is a Bilbo, Gandalf and Thorin-heavy trailer, but we get some lines from Luke Evans, Evangeline Lily, Orlando Bloom and Lee Pace's characters. There's glimpses of the Spiders of Mirkwood, the river barrel sequence, Gandalf's visit to Dol Guldur, some more 'Rings' trilogy portents, and Bilbo's arrival in Smaug's lair.
The trailer is up at Apple Trailers.
