Whoops. A poster for the Naomi Watts-led Princess Diana biopic "Diana" has become the subject of controversy.
It wasn't the content of the poster itself that was the issue, it was the placement. Specifically someone had put up the poster along the Place de l'Alma underpass, right near the tunnel entrance where the real Diana died in a car accident in 1997.
This sparked outrage in the UK press and on social media as photos of the poster popped up online. Ad agency JCDecaux claims it received no phone calls or complaints about the ad placement, but have removed them at the request of the film's French distributor Le Pacte.
