"Blue Is The Warmest Color" director Abdellatif Kechiche has revealed that he's been asked to next helm a biopic about Marilyn Chambers.
Chambers was a model and actress with a wholesome, all-American girl image who was best known as the 'Ivory Soap girl' in commercials.
That changed in 1972 when she starred in the legendary porn film "Behind the Green Door" which includes one of the first interracial hardcore sex scenes put to film. It also ends with an infamous sequence involving her, three men and trapeze equipment.
Chambers went onto a career in porn with bestselling films like "Insatiable" and "Resurrection of Eve," along with more regular movie work such as David Cronenberg's "Rabid". She came close to being cast in a number of major features in development in the late 1970s.
Kechiche actually pitched several films, including the Chambers biopic, to Wild Bunch before he went to work on 'Blue'. Now, producers want Kechiche to make this film next.
Unfortunately the French filmmaker says he's burned out, telling Telerama: "I'm being encouraged to direct, but I think I'm going to say no. I feel don't feel doing cinema anymore, I need calm."
