Just days before the finale of his acclaimed drama series "Breaking Bad," the show's creator Vince Gilligan has lined up his next TV project.
"Battle Creek" is described as a contemporary drama which centers on two detectives with very different personalities who team to "clean up the semi-mean streets" of the town of Battle Creek, Michigan.
Gilligan actually pitched the series back in 2002 but the series wasn't picked up at the time. Now, Sony Pictures and CBS TV Studios have come onboard to co-produce the series which has already scored a 13-episode, first season order from CBS.
Gilligan will executive produce with Mark Johnson and "House" creator David Shore, while Shore will serve as showrunner. Gilligan is reportedly interested in directing the first episode.
