"Back to the Future" director Robert Zemeckis and "The Glades" producer Clifton Campbell are teaming for the drama series "Billy Ray" for which Fox has given a put pilot commitment.
The character-driven drama follows a family thrown into chaos when the child stolen from them as a baby is returned sixteen years later. Said child was raised in rural Alabama by someone with a questionable past.
Campbell and Zemeckis will executive produce with Jack Rapke and Jackie Levine. This mark Zemeckis' first series in 15 years, and his first series directing gig since "Tales From the Crypt".
