Hitfix reports that Paramount is presently considering a delay of Martin Scorsese's highly anticipated "The Wolf of Wall Street".
Execs at the studio reportedly scored their first look at the film over the weekend, and Scorsese is still cutting away at his lengthy (and hardcore) first cut.
The question the studio now faces is whether to release in December, and go for possible awards, or do what they did with "Shutter Island" and push it to a less competitive and potentially more financially lucrative February release.
The other potential is Paramount shifting its Jack Ryan reboot to February instead, with 'Wolf' slotting into the 'Ryan' spot. It would make more sense, especially considering the marketing push for 'Ryan' has yet to really begin.
