Script Deals: Embassy, Vor V Zakone, Tupac

Thunder Road has acquired the film rights to ex-British Marine Morgan Jones and Damien Lewis' non-fiction book "The Embassy House".

The book deals with the 2012 attack on the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi, Libya — resulting in the tragic deaths of Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens and three of his associates . [Source: Deadline]

Vor V Zakone
Warner Bros. Pictures has hired Andrew Sodroski to pen "Vor V Zakone" a feature drama that will trace the origins of organized crime in Russia during the Russian Revolution in 1917.

Stalin attempted to exterminate the criminal underworld by filled the gulags with bandits and thugs. The effort had the opposite effect, consolidating them into a heirarchy that continues to this day. [Source: Deadline]

Tupac
Scribs Eddie Gonzalez and Jeremy Haft are at work on a new draft of the long-gestating biopic about hip hop icon Tupac Shakur. Said script is expected to be delivered in two weeks.

Emmett/Furla/Oasis Films and Morgan Creek Productions are teaming to co-finance and co-produce the $45 million project which aims to begin product in February. [Source: Deadline]
