Matthew Federman and Stephen Scaia (TV's "Human Target," "Charlie's Angels") are set to pen the upcoming film adaptation of the "Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon" video game series setup at Ubisoft Motion Pictures and Warner Bros. Pictures.

The story revolves around a fictional unit of the U.S. Army Special Forces that effectively operates as the president’s private army. Equipped with the latest technology, they take down threats around the world without leaving any trace of their existence.

Michael Bay is producing and could potentially direct the project as he has yet to commit to helm anything beyond the currently shooting "Transformers: Age of Extinction".

Federman and Scaia are currently finishing the script on for the long-gestating film adaptation of the acclaimed comic series "Y: The Last Man," and penned a reboot of the "Zorro" franchise at Sony.
