The Weinstein Company is planning a feature film adaptation of their recently released documentary "SalingeR".
The live-action narrative will focus on the period in famously reclusive author JD Salinger's life between his service in World War II and the publishing of his most famous work "Catcher In The Rye".
Shane Salerno, the director and producer of the doco, will help develop the narrative feature adaptation.
"Salinger" began a platform release on September 6th and scored a $22,742 screen average in its opening weekend. The film expands into 62 further cities this Friday.
