The second season of the online live action web series "Mortal Kombat: Legacy" is set to debut worldwide on September 26th exclusively on Machinima.com.
The first season was unrolled in weekly installments, and clocked in more than 60 million views. The second season is taking a note out of the Netflix model and will have every episode online and available from the launch date. You can see a trailer for the new season below.
Mark Dacascos (Kung Lao), Casper Van Dien (Johnny Cage), Brian Tee (Liu Kang), Ian Anthony Dale (Scorpion) and Kim Do Nguyen (Ermac) return for this outing. "Glee" actor Harry Shum, Jr. is also onboard as Kuai Liang.
One surprise is that Cary Tagawa is reprising the role of Shang Tsung he played in the 1995 film adaptation of the hit video game series. Johnson Phan played a younger version of the character in the first season, Tagawa's version is said to be "unrelated" to Phan's version.
