An inaugural poll of 220 Television Critics Association members has resulted in ABC's "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." being dubbed the most promising new fall series overall.
The show topped that category, followed by Showtime's "Masters of Sex" and NBC's "The Blacklist".
In the best new drama category, "The Blacklist" came in first ahead of "Masters of Sex" and CBS' "Hostages".
In the best new comedy category, FOX's "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" was the clear favorite with twice as many votes as second and third placers "Mom" (CBS) and "Trophy Wife" (ABC) combined.
Tom Mison of Fox's "Sleepy Hollow" was voted the breakout star of the season, followed by Rebel Wilson (ABC's "Fun Night") and Lizzy Caplan (Showtime's "Masters of Sex").
