Filming on the highly anticipated "Fifty Shades of Grey" film adaptation is scheduled to begin at North Shore Studios in Vancouver on November 5th reports Production Weekly.
Sam Taylor-Johnson helms the film which follows the relationship of billionaire Christian Grey (Charlie Hunnam) and college student Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson).
Following on from the casting announcement on Monday and word of fan backlash yesterday, today comes a word on which actors were sought for the project and passed.
Ryan Gosling, Garrett Hedlund and Christian Cooke were all up for Christian Grey, while Shailene Woodley, Felicity Jones, Alicia Vikander, Imogen Poots and Elizabeth Olsen were all under consideration for Anastasia. All passed due to lack of interest, scheduling conflicts and/or other reasons.
THR says a big reason for Johnson's casting was said to be due to director Taylor-Johnson who made the actress her top choice when she scored the directing job in June.
