In the wake of his decision to don the cape and cowl for the "Man of Steel" sequel at Warner Bros. Pictures, Ben Affleck looks to be adjusting his upcoming schedule.

He was slated to direct an adaptation of Dennis Lehane's "Live By Night" early next year but that's likely on hold now.

On top of that, The Wrap reports that he has dropped his attachment to direct the remake of Guillaume Canet's adaptation of Harlan Coben's "Tell No One".

Then there's word from Deadline that not only has Affleck dropped out of the running to direct the film adaptation of Stephen King's "The Stand," but "Crazy Heart" filmmaker Scott Cooper has already stepped in to take the helm.

Cooper will now perform script rewrites for the Warners project which likely got a boost of urgency after the success of TV's "Under the Dome".
