Lionsgate has acquired the film rights to Kate Atkinson's novel "Life After Life" which Temple Hill Entertainment will produce as a feature.

Semi Chellas and Esta Spalding will adapt the script. The WW2-set story follows a young woman who discovers she has the ability to start her life from scratch.

In news of other adaptations, Sean O'Keefe ("The Paperman") is set to pen an adaptation of John Maclean's book "The Esperanza Fire" at Legendary Pictures.

The book deals with the true story of a wildland fire started by an arsonist that killed a tightly knit forest service engine crew that bravely battled the blaze.
