"The Borgias" Finale Released As An E-Book

When Showtime canceled its papal crime saga "The Borgias" in June after three seasons, the story was left unfinished. Like its predecessor "The Tudors," the original plan was for a four season show.

Show runner Neil Jordan had hoped instead to produce a two-hour telemovie he had already penned to wrap up the storylines of the characters, however Showtime opted not to move forward with the project.

Now, the network has announced that Jordan's script will be released this week as an eBook entitled "The Borgia Apocalypse". In an official tweet, Showtime says:

"Breaking #Borgias News! SHOWTIME and THE BORGIAS creator Neil Jordan are excited to announce the release of his new e-book, THE BORGIA APOCALYPSE, based on his original script for THE BORGIAS two-hour finale.

THE BORGIA APOCALYPSE will be available this week via major e-retailers. We're thrilled that the series' loyal fans will have the opportunity to read Neil's final farewell to one of history's most infamous families."
