While Disney's D23 animation presentation dropped various bits of information on Friday, the following day's live-action version didn't offer as much in the way of fresh updates.
The most anticipated was something, anything really, on "Star Wars: Episode VII" beyond the already announced cast/crew members and rough Summer 2015 release date.
While Disney Studios chairman Alan Horn talked about the film, he offered nothing new and quickly moved onto other project, which led to some scattered boos around the hall.
Disney then focused on its Marvel titles, replaying the Comic Con reels for "Thor: The Dark world," "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" and "Guardians Of The Galaxy". The first two also had new clips premiere which went over well with the crowd.
"Muppets Most Wanted" premiered a new trailer which garnered a much better reaction than the recent lacklustre teaser. Brad Bird's "Tomorrowland" showcased an animated clip that left people just as confused as they were going in.
Faring better was a behind-the-scenes reel from Kenneth Branagh's live-action "Cinderella," and an appearance by Angelina Jolie in person to show off the first footage from "Maleficent". Several minutes of potential awards contender "Saving Mr Banks" was also screened to a good response - especially for Thompson's performance.
