"Now You See Me" Sequel On The Way

Lionsgate has confirmed it has begun work on a sequel to their minor sleeper hit of this past Summer, the magician heist caper movie "Now You See Me".

Costing $75 million to produce, the film has made $115 million domestic and a further $120 million in overseas markets (with several key territories it has yet to open in).

The film was also financed through a "unique international infrastructure of output deals" which has allowed it to become a quite profitable little earner for the company.

Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer told analysts Friday that production on the sequel is penciled in for 2014, but has indicated if a screenwriter is already attached.
