"Lions Gate is gearing up "The Truth Machine," optioning James Halperin's sci-fi thriller. Ron Shusett (co-creator of the "Alien" franchise) and George Lee Marshall ("Dark Side") will adapt the novel. "Northern California artist-gallery owner Scott Hanson and screenwriter Robin Bradford have formed indie production banner Blueline Films that plans to turn out 10-12 films in the next several years, including erotic thriller-horror pic "Prey for Me." Company says its films will be made for under $10 million each, and Bradford will pen several of the scripts. Branford wrote "Prey" with Allen Cody Taube.
