"Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" director David Yates is in final talks to direct the "Scarface" reboot at Universal Pictures.
Universal has reportedly utilised several writers and has been through a couple of drafts of the script. They are now said to be very happy with the current version.
No word yet either as to the criminal elements of this incarnation, though they are expected to be quite different to the Chicago bootlegging of the 1932 film and the Miami drug-dealing of the 1983 feature.
Yates will reportedly be locked down before the studio goes out to talent. Marc Shmuger and Martin Bregman are producing.
