"The Bourne Ultimatum" and "United 93" director Paul Greengrass is in final talks to direct the Aaron Sorkin scripted "The Trial Of The Chicago 7" at DreamWorks and Disney.
Steven Spielberg was originally attached to direct it several years ago, but nothing has really moved on it since 2008. At the time, the likes of Sacha Baron Cohen, Will Smith, Kevin Spacey and Philip Seymour Hoffman were attached to star.
The story follows the seven defendants charged with conspiracy and inciting to riot at the 1968 Democratic National Convention. The week-long street rioting made worldwide headlines.
The $20-30 million budget will likely begin filming in January.
