Unanimous Entertainment has scored the film rights to the A.M. Homes dysfunctional American suburban family novel "May We Be Forgiven".
The story follows two grown brothers, one an underachieving historian and the other an aggressive but successful man.
When the latter's temper ends up killing a married couple in a car accident, the former finds himself becoming the parental figure to his brother's kids.
The novel just won the Women’s Prize for Fiction in London, and Unanimous is currently out to writers and filmmakers. Chris Coen and Katie Goodson-Thomas will produce.
