Casting: Kulich, Adsit, Bourgoin, Sturridge

The Equalizer
Vladimir Kulich ("Vikings," "The 13th Warrior") has joined the cast of the Denzel Washington-led $50 million big screen reboot of "The Equalizer" at Sony Pictures.

Kulich plays a Russian oligarch who funds an international black market enterprise. Washington plays a former covert agent who hires himself out to those in need. [Source: Deadline]

St. Vincent de Van Nuys
Scott Adsit will star opposite Melissa McCarthy in Ted Melfi's coming-of-age story "St. Vincent de Van Nuys" at The Weinstein Company. Naomi Watts, Chris O’Dowd and Terrence Howard also star.

The story focuses on a cranky war veteran (Bill Murray) who becomes an unlikely mentor to a 12-year-old boy. Adsit and McCarthy play the parents. [Source: THR]

Mojave
César-nominated Louise Bourgoin will join Oscar Isaac and Garret Hedlund in William Monahan's thriller "Mojave" at Henceforth Pictures.

The story follows a desolated, violent artist who escapes into the desert and encounters a brilliant, homicidal drifter. [Source: Deadline]

Far from the Madding Crowd
Tom Sturridge ("On the Road," "The Boat that Rocked") is set to join Matthias Schoenaerts and Carey Mulligan in an adaptation of Thomas Hardy's "Far From The Madding Crowd" at Fox Searchlight.

Based on the classic novel, the story concerns a young woman and the consequences of relationships she has with three separate men at the same time. [Source: Deadline]
