Years after plans for the project were seemingly ditched, Warner Bros. Pictures is reportedly rumored to once again be considering adapting the 1999 animated series "Batman Beyond" into a live action feature.

The animated series followed teenager Terry McGinnis, who picks up the hood and cowl of Batman in a futuristic Gotham City. An elderly Bruce Wayne serves as his mentor.

The rumor of the revival comes from long-running fan site Batman-On-Film which adds that it would not be a continuation of Chris Nolan's 'Dark Knight Trilogy', and due to the future setting it could be made without clashing with the various proposed upcoming DC universe features like "Justice League".
