Writer/directors Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogen have made their names on comedy films like "This is the End" and the "The Watch". However, the pair recently revealed to IGN that they were previously offered a quite different property to tackle.

The pair claim that video game manufacturer Naughty Dog has approached them on more than one occasion about a film adaptation of their highly acclaimed "Uncharted" trilogy. "They’re constantly asking me and Evan to make the Uncharted movie" says Rogen.

Goldberg says the offers have come in over the course of the past four years. While they love the games, the pair kept turning it down as they couldn't figure out an original way to approach the material.

Goldberg says: "It’s just going to be Indiana Jones. If we can figure out a way to make it not Indiana Jones, it’d be awesome."

Filmmakers David O. Russell and Neil Burger have previously been attached to direct the film adaptation at one time or another, though neither of their versions got off the ground.
