Viewers flocked in droves to CBS' TV series adaptation of Stephen King's novel "Under the Dome" on Sunday night.
The premiere episode pulled in a 3.2 rating/9 share and a whopping 13.1 million total viewers for the network. That makes it the most watched summer debut for a series since 2007's "The Singing Bee", and CBS' most watched summer debut since 2000's "Big Brother".
It's also the best opening-night demo score for any drama series since the premiere of "Revolution" last fall on NBC.
It's especially impressive after various other network Summer-launched series like ABC's "Motive" and "Mistresses" along with USA's "Graceland" fizzled on launch.
