Trade Breaks: Subway, Gap, Land

Radar Pictures has bought an "Untitled New York Thriller Inspired by True Events" pitch from Ben Olson. As part of the deal, Radar also is coming aboard to produce Olson's script "Suffocate." Pic, based on a short film by Rich Maur, deals with a "true-life phenomenon": 4,000 people disappear every year in New York, and most are last seen getting on the subway..." (full details)

Neal Moritz's Original Film and Benderspink are producing "Generation Gap," by Yoni Berkovits, for Columbia Pictures. Pic concerns two young cops, who stumble upon crucial evidence that reopens an old case and must turn to their fathers, retired partners on the force who failed to crack the very same case. Berkovits wrote the comedy "Nothing but the Truth," starring Carmen Electra, in post at New Line..." (full details)

Lisa Muskat and Ben Freedman are teaming to produce "The Land," by tyro writer-helmer David Wike. Pic stars Kevin Corrigan, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Clea DuVall and Xander Berkeley in the story of three men whose peaceful trip to the country turns into mayhem.
