20th Century Fox is closing a deal to acquire the film rights to the iconic 1980s "Choose Your Own Adventure" book series at Davis Entertainment.
The books were famed for allowing readers to choose the path of the characters every few pages. The decisions lead to different fates for them.
The series became a huge hit throughout the 1980s and 1990s, inciting spinoffs and imitators. Over 250 million books in the series have been sold worldwide.
John Davis and John Fox are attached to produce what they hope will be a four-quadrant action-adventure film series and multiple platform franchise.
It's not known which of the 185 stories will be adapted.
