EON Productions and reps for "Skyfall" director Sam Mendes seem to be continuing their very public negotiations in the press this week.
Word came earlier this week that EON would wait for Mendes to finish his stage commitments so he could come back to helm the next film in the 007 franchise.
Today, Showbiz 411 reports that after exhaustive negotiations, Mendes has emerged as the definite director of "Bond 24," and is "likely" back for "Bond 25" as well.
If true, and columnist Roger Friedman is quite reliable on general scoops (and Bond ones in particular), it would mean we'll likely see Mendes helming the rest of the Craig-era Bond films as Craig's contract ends once "Bond 25" wraps.
This will no doubt also fuel the rumors that EON could be moving forward with a two-part story as previously rumored.
