Things are getting confusing in regards to the popular Marvel brother/sister hero characters of Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch.
A while back it was revealed Joss Whedon planned to use the two characters in "The Avengers 2," despite the rights belonging to 20th Century Fox.
Marvel's Kevin Feige said "There's a specific arrangement with those two characters that would allow us to use them with 'Avengers,' but not discuss or reference their mutant or Magneto-related lineage. They [Fox] can use them as mutants and as Magneto's relatives, but cannot have anything to do with 'The Avengers.'"
Well, "X-Men: Days of Future Past" director Bryan Singer has plans to do just that with the help of "American Horror Story" actor Evan Peters. Singer tweeted this week: "Before he was an Avenger, he was just a REALLY fast kid. Thrilled to say Evan Peters is joining 'X-Men: Days Of Future Past' as Quicksilver.
According to HitFix, Singer designed a sequence that he feels only works with the Quicksilver character while Whedon says there's a big reason for Quicksilver to appear in "The Avengers 2". So it would seem we'll get two very different versions of the one character.
