Xbox
Microsoft’s Xbox 360 dashboard will score a major update this August ahead of the release of the next-gen unit in the end of year holidays. The interface will include smaller Live Tiles and a new color-theme.

The change in the Xbox dashboard will also see the Xbox Points system deprecated with new currency and gift cards used in its stead. [Source: Slashgear]

The Last of Us
Naughty Dog's PS3 exclusive game "The Last of Us" will not only be released digitally the same day as in stores (June 14th), it will be the first title boasting a special feature many thought would be held back until the PS4.

That feature? You'll be able to start playing the game while you are downloading it. The difference is PS4 games are expected to be playable when only a few per cent of the download has occurred. "Last" will only be playable after at least 50% of the download is complete. [Source: CNet]

Sonic Lost World
"Sonic Lost World," the next title in SEGA’s Sonic the Hedgehog franchise, will be exclusive to Nintendo’s Wii U home console and Nintendo 3DS portable system.

The companies are also developing "Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympic Games" to be published and distributed this year. [Source: GMA Network]
