"Walk the Line" stars Reese Witherspoon and Joaquin Phoenix look to be re-teaming for Paul Thomas Anderson's "Inherent Vice" at Warner Bros. Pictures.
Based on the 2009 Thomas Pynchon detective novel, the story is set in 1960s Los Angeles and follows the drug-fueled detective Larry "Doc" Sportello (Phoenix) as he investigates the case of a kidnapped girl.
Martin Short and Jena Malone have also joined the film. Malone's role is that of a former drug addict, the other two roles are being kept under wraps.
Anderson will write and direct and shooting aims to begin this summer.
