Welsh hunk Luke Evans ("The Raven," "Immortals") has scored the title role in F. Javier Gutierrez's reboot of "The Crow" franchise at Relativity Media.
Evans was the original choice for the role but scheduling prevented him from doing so. As a result, the likes of Tom Hiddleston and more recently Alexander Skarsgard were considered.
Ultimately though, the project's start date has been pushed back to early next year to accommodate his schedule and secure him. Negotiations are underway with a deal expected to be made shortly.
Evans' current schedule includes promotion for his role in "Fast and Furious 6," reshoots on the third "The Hobbit" feature, and the lead role in the upcoming "Dracula" reboot.
