Sony's Crackle digital entertainment network is at work on a sequel to 2001's David Spade comedy "Joe Dirt". Spade will return for the new film which is said to pick up where the last one left off.
Spade played a mulleted redneck who works as an oil weller. He goes in search for his parents who abandoned him when he was a baby at the grand canyon
Crackle says this is "the first digital full-length movie that's a sequel to a theatrical film."
