The troubled western "Jane Got a Gun" has lost a fourth name - Bradley Cooper.
The story follows a woman (Natalie Portman) who enlists the help of an ex-lover (Joel Edgerton) to help defend her homestead after a gang comes to kill her injured husband (Noah Emmerich).
Jude Law was originally cast in the role of the gang leader, but dropped out. Cooper then became attached to the project but now he's out to, no reason has been given for his departure.
The project is currently in the midst of a planned shutdown phase, with the role not scheduled to shoot scenes until after this period. So, Cooper's leaving hasn't affected anything so far.
The project made headlines when original director Lynne Ramsey failed to show up on-set on the first day, leading to a scramble to find a new helmer - with "Warrior" director Gavin O'Connor scoring the gig.
