"Lovelace" directors Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman are set to re-team with that film's star Amanda Seyfried on the drama "The Girl Who Conned the Ivy League" at Wonderland Sound and Vision and Taggart Productions.
Seyfried will play con artist Esther Reed, who became the target of a nationwide manhunt after creating a fake ID and scamming her way into Columbia University.
The story is based on Sabrina Rubin Erdely’s 2009 Rolling Stone article. Chris Shafer and Paul Vicknair ("A Many Splintered Thing") are penning the script.
McG, Michael Nardelli and Mary Viola are producing. Shooting kicks off later this year.
