Critics may not have been receptive, but Netflix CEO Reed Hastings says their new Eli Roth-produced horror series "Hemlock Grove" is "getting viewed by even more subscribers in its first couple of days" than "House Of Cards" scored in February.
In other TV news, FX is developing the period drama series "Shakedown" inspired by the life of Fred Otash. James Ellroy will pen the script and executive produce.
The story is set in the tabloid world and underbelly of Los Angeles circa the late 1950s, with O'Tash as the city's top informant/operator/wire tapper/fixer.
