Defiance
Syfy's high-profile new transmedia series "Defiance" debuted on Monday night and was the network's best scripted series debut in the key adults 18-49 demo since "Eureka" in 2006.

The show pulled in a 2.0 household rating and 2.7 million total viewers (1.3M in 18-49, 1.4M in 25-54). The tie-in video game has seen six million hours of gameplay since its launch two weeks ago. [Source: Zap2It]

Game of Thrones
The third season of the HBO fantasy series broke another record on Sunday with 4.72 million viewers tuning in at 9pm - up 11% from last week and building on the 4.36 million who tuned into the season premiere.

With an encore included, the show scored 5.8 million viewers for the night and matched its previous high of a 2.4 rating. [Source: The Live Feed]

Black Sails
Starz has posted the first trailer for the Michael Bay-produced pirate drama "Black Sails" which serves as a prequel to Robert Louis Stevenson's classic "Treasure Island". The first season is scheduled to premiere in the first quarter of 2014.

Set twenty years prior, Luke Arnold plays a young John Silver who serves under Captain Flint (Toby Stephens) as the ship fights for the survival of the pirate haven New Providence Island.

Full Circle
DirecTV has announced a ten-episode order for the drama series "Full Circle" from filmmaker Neil LaBute. All ten episodes are expected to be made for under $1 million.

The unconventionally structured TV series will examine the human condition through conversations between 11 people whose lives, unbeknownst to them, are intertwined. [Source: Deadline]

Helix
Syfy has posted the first teaser trailer for "Battlestar Galactica" producer Ronald D. Moore's new 13-episode series "Helix". No air date has yet been announced.

The story follows CDC scientists sent to a high-tech research facility in the Arctic to investigate a possible disease outbreak, only to find themselves pulled into a terrifying life-and-death struggle.
