Transcendence
Morgan Freeman is in final negotiations to star opposite Johnny Depp in cinematographer Wally Pfister's sci-fi directorial debut "Transcendence" at Warner Bros. Pictures.

Johnny Depp stars as a man who creates a computer program that develops an awareness. Kate Mara, Paul Bettany and Rebecca Hall co-star in the film which begins shooting next month in Los Angeles. [Source: Heat Vision]

Solace
Abbie Cornish will join Colin Farrell and Anthony Hopkins in Afonso Poyart's thriller "Solace". Shooting begins in May.

The story follows an FBI agent who links up with a doctor with psychic abilities to hunt down a serial killer. Cornish's role is unknown. [Source: Variety]

Cameron Crowe's Next
Rachel McAdams is in negotiations to play the ex-girlfriend of Bradley Cooper's character in Cameron Crowe's untitled romantic comedy. Shooting begins in September.

Cooper plays a defense contractor overseeing a weapons satellite launch from Hawaii. He teams up with (and falls for) an Air Force pilot (Emma Stone) to scuttle the launch. Mystical island forces and a talking computer also play a part in the story. [Source: THR]

Heat
Stanley Tucci, Anne Heche, Cedric the Entertainer, Hope Davis and Milo Ventimiglia are all set to join the remake of Burt Reynolds' 1986 action thriller "Heat".

Jason Statham is set to play Nick, a gambling addict and ex-mercenary working for hire in Vegas. Sophia Vergara, Michael Angarano, and Dominik Garcia-Lorido also star, while filming is underway in New Orleans. [Source: Deadline]
