Forest Whitaker has signed on to produce the biopic "Richard Pryor: Is It Something I Said?" at Significant Productions.
The story will center on the life of the late comedian. Pryor's widow Jennifer will also produce alongside Nina Yang Bongiovi.
"Dreamgirls" and "Breaking Dawn" director Bill Condon was previously attached to helm the project, with Marlon Wayans poised to play Pryor.
He departed, and with Whitaker taking over he is developing a whole new screenplay. However, it isn't known if a writer is attached as yet.
