Sarah Silverman Turns Hooker For MacFarlane

By Garth Franklin Monday March 18th 2013 06:53PM

Sarah Silverman is in negotiations to play a prostitute in Seth MacFarlane's Western comedy "A Million Ways to Die in the West" at MRC.

MacFarlane, the "Family Guy" creator and "Ted" director who hosted this year's Oscars, co-wrote the script and is both directing and starring. He plays a cowardly sheep farmer who chickens out of a gunfight and sees his girlfriend (Amanda Seyfried) leave him for another man.

When a mysterious woman (Charlize Theron) rides into town, she helps him find his courage - a courage that's tested when her outlaw husband (Liam Neeson) arrives seeking revenge.

Silverman plays the town’s well-ridden prostitute. The character engages in all sorts of lewd activities but refuses to have sex with her fiancé (Giovani Ribisi), believing that as Christians the couple should wait until marriage before lying down together.

Scott Stuber, Jason Clark and MacFarlane will produce. Shooting aims to kick off in the Spring.
